February 20th to December 4th, 1915
The Hammond ConnectionThis Grand showcase of exhibits in San Francisco, California was set in place to welcome the opening of the Panama Canal.
Ten of Hammond's industries will be represented there in this "The Greatest of World's Fairs". Otto Knoerzer of the champion Potato Machinery Company will take up residence in the Machinery Hall, where he is expecting to take first palace with his potato digger invention.
One of the largest, if not the largest exhibits in the Arts and Science Building will be the Frank S. Betz Company who manufactures surgical instruments and supplies
Among the very first Lake County residents to return from the exposition was Edward C. Minas and his wife. Their five thousand mile journey lasted four weeks, as they took in all of the sights on the west coast along with the expos at both San Francisco and San Diego in California
