The Betz Company Drug Division featured a well diversified line of high quality products. Their policy of selling directly to the physician thus eliminated the costly middleman, bringing exceptional quality at money saving prices. All of the merchandise shown in their 1924 catalog was readily available at their New York and Chicago sales showrooms. The entire line of pharmaceuticals included a wide variety of medications and elixirs as well as the various support products which included medical bags, bottles, jars, needles and syringes. Most of which were made right here in Hammond, although some products were manufactured elsewhere and sold under the Betz name. The Sale and manufacture of narcotics was discontinued on July 1st 1924, because of the complexity of the paperwork required by the Federal Government. |
