Here's a look back at the newly remodeled and up to date offices of the Hammond Optical Company. As their ads stated -- "A Modern Eyesight Service for the People of Hammond" These offices were located on State Street in downtown Hammond and were recently outfitted with all of the most modern equipment for examining and outfitting of eyeglasses.
All that optical science had to offer at the time, along with the company's expert training and long time experience helped the firm to accurately, quickly and comfortably serve all of its customers. Dr. D. M. Lowden was the optometrist. In the above photo, we see the reception area/waiting room captured in a still frame from 1929.
