All Saints Roman Catholic School - - part of the All Saints Roman Catholic Church located, on Sibley Street just east of the downtown area of the city. The church operated this school in an adjacent building, west of the church rectory. This grouping of photographs above, illustrates how a parochial education looked in the first part of the twentieth century.
The school was housed in an elegantly designed structure of Romanesque Revival architecture dating back to 1908. The building itself still remains to this day, however it no longer functions as a school.
The photo on the left shows room number 10, boys grade 7 and 8 in session sometime during the first half of the 1910's. The photo on the right shows us another scene of a boys class in session during the 1920's. Both are a fine group of studious looking young gentlemen, learning and preparing to take on the challenges of the remainder of the twentieth century upon their graduation, whatever they may be.
